Every day is a play day for dogs like us
When you hear us you might think it is a loud fuss
We tussle and hustle throughout the house
We are much more rambunctious than a mouse
She wizzes around the corner as fast as a bus
He sputters and growls like a disgusted spouse
Every day is a play day for dogs like us

When she chews on her rawhide
He watches from the trunk side
She hides her prize
But he grabs it in disguise
She comes at me like a wide tide
Taking her rawhide was very unwise
When she chews her rawhide

When the play day is through
That’s when we know what to do
We go to our bed
And turn into sleepy heads
Our play day really flew
But now we are at the last thread
When the play day is through
