A normal day as always
Things not going my way
Then I checked my phone
And couldn’t believe my eyes
Then traveled to a tropical zone

Many emotions I felt
Ones I couldn't dealt
Nervous yet excited
I was so delighted
That they finally invited


“Please come to auditions”
It was my mission
To finally become a musician
A dream of generation
And time for a life transition

The author's comments:
I had sign up for a competition in the local mall. I waited for a week or two. I was in school and finally got a text saying that they had selected me to audition. so I was inspired to write a poem on how I felt.
