On the surface
We are all the same
We tread the same water
How deep must that water be
Before it is deep?
In search of answers
I dive down
Away from the rest
Down
Down
Down
But this ocean
Is bottomless
As I dive, I wonder
How deep must the water be
Before it is deep?
And then
The epiphany strikes
It is lonely.
It is quiet.
It is deep.
