If I Live Forever
If I live forever, will I forget you?
If I die tomorrow, will you forget me?
I want you to love me
I want to love you
But maybe that was always an unreachable dream
If I say I’m sorry, will you forgive me?
If I say goodbye, will you let me go?
The stars look so close
But I know they are so distant
And I wonder if they are lonely
If I lie, will you believe me?
If I tell the truth, will you do the same?
The beautiful sunflowers wilted
And the leaves fell
I guess that’s just life
Maybe forever has already passed
And we have both been forgotten
Maybe you forgave me a long time ago
And it’s me who can’t forgive myself
Maybe happily ever after is just another lie
That we both wanted to believe
I don’t know what I was searching for
But I haven’t found it
I don’t know what I wanted
But it wasn’t this
I can’t remember whether I love you
Can you?
If I lived forever, would I be lonely?
If I died tomorrow, would you?
In truth we are always alone
Belonging to no one
And there’s no such thing as forever
