The forest's immense frame
Dances majestically through the wispy wind
Waving a farewell

In their elegantly swaying costumes
Their vibrant brilliance cradled protectively by the caressing breeze
To their delightfully cozy beds
Where they are tucked

They settle in
With a light crackle from each
Awaiting the white sheet of snow
The blanket of fluff that will warm them.
