These Cages
We are all in iron cages
Ones where we can see the outside through the bars
See, only see.
These cages define who we are,
How we react,
Reacting to their punishment.
How we feel,
Feeling caged and innocent.
How we see,
Seeing the world pass by without us.
These cages are built by the superior
Yet they are lived in by the inferior.
These are iron cages,
Created to force us to be somebody we are not.
These iron cages are considered wise.
They are thought to be right.
While we, the ones on the inside,
Are wrong.
