Don't ever put anything on paper that you don't believe in. Don't write just to be writing. It's worse then merely saying something because the printed word reaches so many. Always remember that, Beany.

What does equality mean,
In a diverse society like these?
Can anyone, regardless of age,
Race, or color, or culture,
Can people that can’t walk
And people that can’t talk,
Live in perfect harmony?
Martin dared to start the daring dream,
That many tried to deny,
That everyone is equal,
Just like you and me.
Equality shouted out with joy,
When Johnson signed the bill.
Equality flew across the nation, like a bird on wings,
Then those that were being oppressed
Because of religion, age, or sex
Protested loudly and soon were heard.
New laws then were passed,
So that all could taste freedom,
And eat at the table of brotherhood.
So that’s what equality means,
In a diverse society as these
That all may work where they want,
And live where they please,
And all enjoy the rights they need.
As Martin once said,
“I look for the day when people will not be judged
by the color of their skin, but the content of their characters.

I have always admired Martin Luther King Jr. He dared to have a dream. He dared to act on that dream. And he was killed for doing the action he believe in.
