9-11-2001
Red, White, and Blue blotches blanket innocent skin.
Intent facades form as we scribble away.
A block of dull concrete morphs,
a symbol of hope appears.
Chalk in hand,
we attempt to right the wrongs of that crisp September day.
Replaying in our heads
terrifying scenes of burning bodies jumping
to their doom.
Praying angels of innocent victims gaze down upon our
American flag masterpiece.
