Identity
I see the world,
But do they see me?
They see my eyes and skin,
But what about who I am?
Truly I am invisible,
No one notices who I really am,
On the inside,
Isn’t that what counts?
Why then,
do they only see the outside?
What I look like,
Or how I dress
I shouldn't have to change,
Who I am inside,
That’s me,
That’s my identity.
