Forever In Our Hearts...We Love You!
Some called you their friend.
Some called you their sister.
Some called you mom.
But me, I called you Grandma.
You were one of my heroes,
you knew when something was wrong,
or when I just needed a hug for no reason.
We always had fun when we were together.
Shopping,
Car Trips,
Spending the day together,
This was all fun when it was just me and you.
Family Christmas Parties and Birthdays,
you made them extra special.
When Daddy was deployed for Iraq,
you gave me comfort that he would make it back.
You always had the warmest hugs.
I remember being 7 years old and you and me would play dress-up and I would do your make-up.
I always messed it up though.
I have a lot of good memories that I will remember you by.
The ones I don't want are when you were sick.
You never got better and It always hurt me to go see you in pain like that.
I am glad you are not suffering anymore, but I wish you were still here.
I miss our long talks when I get into trouble,
or I am pissed off at my parents,
or when I just need someone to sit there and tell me everything is gonna be alright.
You will ALWAYS be My grandmother,
Their sister,
The boys mom,
and every-one's friend.
We will all see you again one day.
