we did it in front of the mirror
every sense heightened shutter radiation from our bodies
breath cascading hazes our reflection; vague.
in time, our pieces connected together,
like a puzzle that seems indefinitely
postponed by shoving two parts
that just don’t fit so perfectly
like word of a blank page, cannot be forced.
they must flow naturally,
in intricate, stunning streams
from one’s mind.
and intuit like the earth of summer beneath.
