I Await
In my heart, sorrow resides.
In my soul, my hurt and pain hides.
In my eyes, the truth is carefully concealed.
My face is but a mask, hiding all from everyone but those who know me best.
My brain holds every thought, good and evil.
I conceal myself from all, revealing a little something to each person.
A thought here, a wish there
A tear shed behind a veil of hair
A smile, a laugh smothered behind a child-sized hand.
But none have been able to unlock the true me, with its many facets.
So I wait, my full self within, sealed
Away and awaiting the day
Someone stirs my heart
The day someone unlocks that "special part"
I await love.
I await acceptance.
I await true happiness.
I await the One.

Courage comes in all sizes, but fits only a few.
What is wise is not always right and what is right is not always wise.
Knowing what is wrong and right is not choosing which to fight.
