A small black feather, wedged into a book store window shook lightly in the light wind.
Two ring laced pale hands reached simultaneously for the shimmering object.
A pair of vivid onyx eyes met icy blue ones, narrowed into a glare.
Two cold hands laced together, cheeks warming despite the chilling fall weather.
Two hearts began to beat faster, saved from a black abyss by the loose feather of a flight back home.
