Sharon
Another night passes by and she's not there
I'm starting to realize that she doesn't care
The fate of our fleeting, frenzied love
Is now in the hands of the good Lord above
For someone to trust is all that I sought
Now my heart is completely distraught
All those words remain unsaid
I lie alone in my bed
Dreaming of the glory days
Oh, how it was a happier phase
But our relationship is over
Not even the luck of a four leaf clover
Can resurrect what we've ended
I've lost a girl I befriended
Months ago, I felt euphoric
But the break-up became historic
A tidal wave of emotion
Caused our social lives great commotion
Making us isolated
Angst was instigated
I'm still irritated
By the way I agitated
Her away
That summer day
Into another's arms
To enjoy her charm
I'm left to pray
For when I can say
"I love you baby, please stay"
Boy, that'll be the day
