It screams from within
For its own spotlight
Like a rushing wind
In a restless night

Consuming the mind
With opinions and thoughts
Twirled in a bind
Resulting in timeless knots

Unwinding itself
In a world of chaos
Proceeding in stealth
Fear of inner loss


This voice of mine
Is loud and strong
If you listen through time
You’ll hear its theme song

It’s like a melody
Playing through my head
Finally in serenity
After feelings are finally said

Now the voice
Is lingering around
Making the choice
To, as last, be found

The author's comments:
This piece is based around, myself breaking out of shyness. I have always been very outgoing. However, when it comes to expressing my feelings, I become very fearful of what people might think. This explain the process I'm breaking through.

I'm also shy, but not as much as I used to. I try to find my inner voice, but I still get nervous in front of a lot of people. love your poem!
