I Just Want to Run Away

I just want to run away
Away from this place
And away from myself
What’s stopping me?
My fear or my family
I wish they didn't hold so much power in my head
But I always hear them with every step I take
Disappointment covers her face
She can’t hide it, it’s all I see
This is what’s stopping me from running
Chasing that dream
Catching it and living the life I've wished for
Nightmares only fill my future
Showing only darkness
Swallowing me whole without hesitation
How do I live on when my life is already gone?
