Favorite Quote:
You can complain that roses have thorns or rejoice that thorns have roses.

My stomach hurts and throat
Sore with extreme dryness. Mind
All scrambled, messed up; impure.
Fists ready to kiss their faces when
They point, maybe even break a joint.
This isn't for me although He does continue
To love me relentlessly
Never mind..

I'll strive to love Him and His people.
Must we fight and fight as if
We are rouge and medieval? No we are
Brothers and sisters. The only commandment
We must imperatively follow is love thy
Neighbor as thyself. Make people smile,
Be kind to make the inner ugly melt.
Shine because you are a diamond in the rough.
You don't have to be tough.
Stop being all stuck up and tense,
Try being relentless.

Are you one of them?
The evil and untrusted or,
Are you the one whom He calls
His Beloved? Sons and daughters of
Abraham, take up your inheritance

Before you become part of Hell's residence.
Do not fear the darkness of this world,
But embrace the light within you.

Like the marines, those who live in righteousness
Are the few. The few who know and loves God
And partakes of bearing fruit. This generation
Now has to shout on housetops, bus tops of
His coming....

The author's comments:
I had a bad attitude when I went to my church's youth conference and I got angry because I didn't feel welcomed by the youth that attended the event. So I poured my anger into a text message. It turned into a poem when I realized there was nothing to really be mad at. It changed my whole point of view. It's amazing how God can make you look at the bright side even in the midst of anger.
