Getting away with murder

I’m not the type of person who takes shortcuts
I like to think I gain what I deserve
I always try my best in every situation
And what I get is what I’ve earned

I wake up in the early hours
To start the work that must be done
You sit on your a*** all day
Wishing your life away
Why did you even come?

People turn a blind eye
To all the things you do
Just because you think you’re better
You get away with murder

Your violence has to stop
It’s never the answer
Drug use and alcohol abuse
Is slightly over the top

Your lying and scheming
Is driving me insane
You don’t try at anything
But it’s never too late to change.
