Pray For Him
Weakened and near death,
He’s been through so much.
He conquered cancer,
But not unscathed or untouched.
He’s become aged and fragile,
After fighting for such a long while.
He’s my Grandfather whom I hold dear to my heart.
However, he seems distant and ready to depart.
Night and day we prayed for him to heal.
But what he really wants he came to reveal,
That he wishes for us to pray he goes to heaven.
So dear God,
If that’s really what he wants,
Guide him on his journey to you then.

The author's comments:
My grandpa had just recovered from cancer but was in poor condition after all his treatment, and he was near his time to go. He had told us to soley pray for him to go to heaven, not for him to heal because he had fought enough.
