When I came across him
I realized that the world was full of love to the brim.
The idea which I ridiculed so often,
I noticed that it existed; what it did was to soften
Our inner devilry,
Jealousy and rivalry.
Among the bad lot
There was one feeling that still fought
For recognition and acceptance
Between vehemence and arrogance.
Whatever it was that he did,
I guess it was good, since it got me rid
Of that scary, sinking emptiness.
It didn't get eliminated, just got a little less.
Grateful to him I must be
As he made me believe
That it is love that helps us survive,
Amiable emotions it does revive.
Grateful to him I should be
As he introduced me to true glee.
Grateful to him I might have been
If, after teaching me all this, he hadn't been so keen
Of leaving me midst this confusion
Since I was new to love and its world of illusion.
Now I’m forced to think
That there exists no link
Between me and this crazy drug.
What it did at all was to dug
Out my soul
Pierce a hole,
Where my heart lay
Trying to find out a way,
Away from sorrow.
What use is it now? when it won’t be having a tomorrow?
