It's but a number
And maybe you’re right
 Maybe I should change
 Grow up

 But there is

 Something freeing
About becoming excited over the littlest details
Without regard to how others will react

 Something wise
About remembering that there is a childish innocence to us all
And that we don’t know everything
 And that we never will

 Something important
About taking the time to see your surroundings
Instead of just running past them to a useless destination

 And something satisfying
In knowing that as childish as I am
I have grown far too old for you
