meet me in tulsa
at the end of the dock

i’ll be alone and
you’ll be in my head
thinking my thoughts

behind memories of time well-wasted

arriving always at the
right time or always too
late

loving here and there

i don’t live without
you
i only live within

this is my diatribe

i am immune to yr
embrace

when we become one
i travel alone through yr
curls

perfume
cologne
shampoo
and i’m still alone

you’re less than you
should be but much
more where it counts
how lucky?
in tents we fell in love
and maybe only i
bounced back
