Without you
The world goes on
Nothing pauses for you in your absence
Without you
I am happy
I am one with myself
I go on living
Without you
It seems more good comes than bad
There is an eerie peace
In the void you once occupied
However, without you
There is no you
And without a you
There is a missing part of me

The author's comments:
What inspired me to write this piece is I was thinking about a really close friend in my life where they drive me insane and frustrate me. I got to thinking about a life without them and then I realized I am lucky to have them and how some people aren't as lucky as I. I hope that something people will get from this is that life is short and even when the people we love get on our nerve we still got to push through and love them unconditionally for as long as we can.
