Shatter After Shatter

My heart,
Once fragile,
Now stone cold,
Once upon a time
Love made me whole

I wanted to trust
But couldn’t
So tell me,
Was it love, or lust
You shouldn’t
Doesn’t matter
Shatter After Shatter
The pieces
Start to get harder to put back together

I opened up my heart
A mistake, on my part
What was once so sweet
Now seems so tart
But eventually
Shatter After Shatter
You leave the pieces torn apart
