One Step (a Holocaust poem)
A different bruise
A different night
One scar is one step closer, right?
One step closer to paradise
One back if I fight
But I hope; for that is all I have
That when I'm knocking on that door
To a place I'd rather be
And the air is polluted, by what is left of me
I hope you find your paradise
I hope you know it well
Before he curtain rises
And you find yourself in hell
