We're Lost
You were a beacon above,
A guiding star for me,
But now that you are gone, I'm lost in misery
It's hard to see the beauty
In either bird or tree
Without your knowing presence standing beside me.
The rain falls slower, glimmering from above
Now that you have died
And taken all my love.
I'll try to put together the pieces,
I'll keep on moving on,
But it will not be the same,
Now that you are gone.
