Wonders of Me

Why are we here?
What were we meant to do?
Were we meant to explore?
TO travel, to read,
to do even more.

Why is life?
What is it for?
Do we take it for granted?
Like it is nothing more?

Why is not just a word.
Why is our mind,
our ears,
our wonders.

Why now,
why then,
why later.

Why try?

Wow. I can only explain my awe with that word. I can really relate to this way of thought. I almost felt as though this reflected quite a few of my thoughts perfectly.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Your poem has a really cynical feel to it that I like. The open ending left me thinking that this would be a great  poem for a series of poems on the "meaning of life" I think it would be nice with a chaser poem. So hurry up and write one already!
