White wings soar

Golden halo glows

You are protected

Young and innocent

Unaware of the dangers that are everywhere

They jeer

They spit

Dark eyes are an endless abyss

Their claws scratch and sting

White feathers litter the air

Wings are broken

Spirits are shattered

Your shield has been torn

You are exposed, naked

And you are bleeding

You don’t see the light

You are alone and maimed

Too alone

All the tears you have are gone, eyes red and hollow

So you let your wings begin to fade and hide away to die

But someone finds your tortured soul

Who?

Those dark eyes are familiar

Yet the sneer is replaced with a smile of sympathy

Apologies spilling from their lips

Don’t!

Don’t let yourself die

You are beautiful and you can’t listen to

A Demon like me

Your life is so much more important than you think it is

You are an Angel

The Demon

He saved you

He mended your wings

Fixed your halo

You are you again

The Angel and the Demon

They have united

They have saved each other
The Angel and the Demon
