Taking It Down
Each day I face it
Sometimes smaller
Sometimes taller
But both are unforgiving.
I will break through this wall
My arsenal at my side
The world at my fingertips
It will fall; I will be victorious
We take it down
Brick by brick by cold, hard, brick
The wall starts to shrink
I will be the champion
My arsenal starts to fall
Breaking, dying, dropping
Some lose energy
They must recharge before charging into battle
We push on
The wall reduced to mere rubble
We siege the remains
Celebrate our triumphant decimation
So I close my laptop
Put away scattered pencils
All the tips broken off
Ready to take down the wall of homework tomorrow
