In the silence and soft secrecy of my sleeping hours
You walk through my head, carelessly.
You wander, wreaking havoc with my strewn and scattered thoughts,
Carving out your path in those cloudy approximations of hopes
And fears which reveal themselves, to their willing or unwilling host. Carefully
You tantalise my helpless and malleable mind, to wind
This smoke around yourself so that the gaze of this dreamer rests
On you, and your temptations...
Eyes reaching far into my own, lips parted in expectation
And the line of the jaw taut in delicate anticipation and unwavering desire. Oh!
That I might, in my waking life, look upon your face twisted in that same expression
Haunting my very being ever I were asleep.
