Lit..
As you are born,
I watch,
As a beautiful glowing child,
Emerges from the Darkness.
Nothing is as perfect,
As the pureness,
Of your inner warmth.
As you age,
I see you getting taller, bigger,
Stronger.
It seems,
That you don't need me.
You are fine on your own.
You no longer become cold with fright,
When I leave your side.
You are fully grown.
You can support yourself,
Even in the hardest of times.
I am proud,
Yet sad.
For,
You no longer need,
The one who created you.
Your daddy.
You are dying.
As I watch you reach your life's end,
I cry,
The saddest tears.
You are my little one,
And I have outlived you.
The worst torture imaginable.
You breathe your last breath.
And sputter your last words,
And whisper out,
"I need you...."
