I look towards the rising sun,
Wondering, “What is love?”
Perhaps when my heart pleasantly wrenches,
At your frequent presence in my dreams?
I look towards the pale blue sea
Wondering, “What is love?”
Perhaps when butterflies flutter in my stomach,
As your melodious laughter leaves me breathless?
I look towards the evergreen trees,
Wondering, “What is love?”
Perhaps when your hand brushes against mine,
Numbing electricity making me shudder?
I look towards the red rose petals,
Wondering, “What is love?”
Perhaps the way your lips seem oh so soft,
Taunting me to dare to touch?
I finally realized what love is,
Though you’ll never hear me say it is will you?
Since you left long before I finally got my heart to say
That love is you.
All along I simply should have whispered,
“I love you.”
Wondering, “What is love?”
Perhaps when my heart pleasantly wrenches,
At your frequent presence in my dreams?
I look towards the pale blue sea
Wondering, “What is love?”
Perhaps when butterflies flutter in my stomach,
