A Look into the Mess
Back to the room where it all began;
plain brown walls and a ceiling fan;
old photos hang up on the wall;
the room shakes, but they will never fall;

Piles of dirty clothes lies on the floor;
plastic mini basketball hoop on the back of the door;
crumpled sheet music found everywhere;
random things are scattered here and there;

Music blasts all day and night;
Over it you may hear a fight;
Between two boys who think they’re right;
And scream and yell with all their might;

This room made me who I am today;
Even when I go far away;
I look forward to college and romance;
I go to leave, but need one final glance.
