The First Hello

It was a feeling like no other
My nerves taking complete control
Over every inch of my body

I couldn’t help but think of him
What he would look like and how he would dress
If we even had a slight bit of resemblance

Today was the day
And I would finally get to see him
I felt like I had waited forever

Fourteen years of waiting to be exact
And this was the final stop
The long journey would come to its ultimate closing

He came down the stairs
And this was finally it
The moment I’ve been dreaming for so long to get

I couldn’t contain myself
Smiling from ear to ear
I was just so happy to finally have him here
