Dancing in the Rain
The pitter patter of rain on
the window sill
singing a lullaby
only you can hear
restless from sitting in one place
for a while
waiting for the sun to
yet again smile
mother wont hear the crack
of the door
over the booming thunder
and the ding ding ding
as the clock strikes four
so walk outside
and inhale the sweet scent
of the storm
take confident steps off the porch
until you feel the droplets
so warm
this is what life is about
so odd and delightful
the sensation of rain
on my skin
making every moment count
so let the moments begine
the time will come when
the storm shall pass
but right now
you need only dance
