he took her and nurtured her

from a caterpillar to a butterfly

her metamorphosis

but he made her

into a butterfly

that couldn’t fly without him

while he was a creature

that needed nothing

and no one

to soar

I loved a boy that didn't love me back and I constantly felt like a couldn't live without him. I felt like he wouldn't even remember me if I left. I bet I was right.
