Prayers for Peace
Allah, like a bird flying through a window.
Let me one day find an any-shaped hole which I may fit through.
Like marbles, the planets, in the fingers of God,
of nature, of dust-clouds of mineral, whichever your theology may dictate,
I will be above it all, and problems once stuffing me beneath
their fingernails
will tremble at my small shadow soaring over them,
a freckle upon their cheek.
