Learning the Language
I am in touch with my ancestry, but have never seen Sweden.
I have never walked in the village of my family.
I have never seen the mountains draped in snow.
I have never seen the crooked trees grow.
I am in touch with my existence, but I waste it in my room.
I have never seen my shades open.
I have never touched the doorknob with a reason.
It’s just a cage that I will freeze in.
I can stare into the mirrors, but refuse to go outside.
I have never seen a world so green.
I have never followed an ocean’s crest.
I have just realized, this is all a test.
My mind will find the answers, or just cheat to impress the rest.
