Summer sweet
Sun-kissed feet
Romp around rough land
And uneven sand
A day to dawn
Stretched across my lawn
Opened eyes to the sky
Waiting for night to apply

A fear constructs
A Stress expands
A light switched
An idea alive

The author's comments:

I absolutely love the first stanza. It's beautiful and draws you in.  The last though, kind of loses the rhythm, I think. But overall I liked it. :)
