Bittersweet

the darkness beckons
from deep within
as winter's howl
brings forth snow
a never ending ocean
clean and pure
I know not from
where the waves lull
the moonlight shines
as a lighthouse beam
through a world of sin
only hope
can swell the symphony
for dreams create
our greatest desires
wishes of joy
spells of laughter
moments of peace
such things exist
only in our memories
