If only you gave the word I would run by your side, But for now I am forced to hide, Hide the feelings I have longed to express, The feelings that I have tried and tried to compress, You love him this I could understand, If he treated you the way a woman should be treated by a man, I would leave my life behind, Even if you said you just wanted me for a short time, I would share the feelings I have waited to show, But for now I must stop until you say go, so for now I will agree to keep myself caged up, But one day the compression will be too much
