Joshua 1:9

As the Nations colors rise along they all sing,
but one cowboy bows asking strength of his King-
He sways and paces; he cannot stand still,
ready to prove his love, his grit, and his will-
Only a smalltown man but with dreams so big,
he shrugs off the thought; his all he does give-
There's but only moments 'fore it's his time,
closing in on his longest 8 second ride-
The nerves settle and his breathing slows,
confident he is and winning he knows-
With his hand tight and his legs locked,
he gives the signal ready to ride the roughstock-
He does not hear the roar of the crowd,
for the thumpin of his own heart beats too loud-
As the shoot opens time stands still,
and though the steed bucks hard it doesn't pass the bill-
'Cause on his back rides a Champion,
humble - yet proud of the stage he just won-
Adrenaline still rolls even after the 80 point ride,
and there he celebrates with family by his side-
It is only but a step in this cowboy's career,
for Vegas is next - which he plans to conquer in a later year

Well done, menno35.  I sure did enjoy watching the cowboys ride at the rodeo this summer.  Your cousin sounds like a very courageous young man.  I wish him loads of success!
