“One more.” I say, when they tell me to stop listening to the voicemails.
“Love. I love him.”
“As if that’s going to happen...” I say when they tell me to move on.
Such a sucker for love, I am.
“Just wait. He’ll come back.” I say, when they tell me you’ve already gone.
“All I want is you.”
“Maybe he just needs more time.” I say, when they tell me the things you’ve said.
“Everyone knows I can’t get him out of my head.”
