A bird in the sky

I am a bird-

I spread my wings to fly
All the birds soar together-


I am a bird

I watch them fly away
Their wings open to touch air-

My wings stay down-
As I see them leave into the distance


I am now alone


Left to see sky

And now my wings are broken


I can’t fly
Nowhere to soar into the sky
I am a bird-the distance of a lonely goodbye

Alone to see the blue sky
