The fear had overtaken her
Running, running as fast as she can
The furious funnel from Mother Nature herself chasing after her
Whirling, twirling, howling

Faster and faster she ran
A glance over her shoulder
Reality starts to sink in
Everything she knows all uprooted

The wind is now stronger
The storm is closer
She still runs
Harder, and harder

The realization that this really is reality
No longer an outer body experience
Adrenaline weakening
The fear becomes over powering

She stops and falls to her knees
Begging for her life
The vacuum sucks her up
Whirling, twirling, howling

The author's comments:
This was inspired by a constant nightmare that I have had since age five. One night I woke up, and decided I needed to put it into words.
