Forbidden Dreams
There was a time I looked at the sky and believed
But I've seen much more dark skies then blue
I use to believe
And stand up to achieve
Now I wonder
My goals for the future almost melt in my hand
My mind tells me it's not worth fighting to stand
My biggest dream
Falls through and flies away like steam
Maybe one day I will see
Maybe one day I will change
But the keys seem to be far from my reach
And they stain my heart with bleach
I look through the rain
And I hope something will change
But I feel like I am held down by a chain
A chain of profession
Out stretched depression
Holding me down from my sky of blue
Crowning me of nothing but shame
