Who cares for the girl in the corner,
trying to get their work done.
Who cares for the girl,
who loses her temper way too easily.
Who cares for the girl,
who tries to get everyone to do some work, but then is mocked

Who cares for the girl,
being comforted by her friend.
Who cares for the girl,
trying not to let the tears fall.
Who cares for the girl, who is mocked,
time and time again,
more people joining in each time.

No one cares for the girl,
who has so many insecurities.
No one cares for the girl who feels worthless, most of the time.
No one cares for the girl,
who thinks no one would miss her,
noting would be different if she died...

No one cares for the girl,
who is trying not to while writing this.
No one cares for me...

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece in an English class one day when I felt very upset. The people on my table were the type not to do any work and then get in trouble, me included. So I tried to get them to do some work, and one of the things I said was taken and twisted until they could start making fun of me. They told some of their friends and they joined in to. They kept on laughing at me or mocking me for no reason. It hurt so much but it was near the end of the year so I didn't say anything. When I wrote that I was trying not to cry. It reflected how I felt. I hope people realize that you make think you're great and popular so you can mock the weaker one but really you're just a desperate idiotic kid who needs to learn sometimes a joke goes too far and people have a lot of insecurities. I hope this might get through to the people who mock and the people being mocked. If you are getting mocked, remember you are a precious rose that maybe hasn't blossomed but are still beautiful on the inside.
