What’s missing from space
If I could be a galaxy,
I would encompass the farthest reaches of the universe,
And throw a dark blanket around the stars,
 Planets,
 Every molecule of being
 Before I returned.
You would ask if I’d missed you
While I was looking for myself
 In the emptiness of space.
 I would say:
 I missed
 being yellow.
 I missed
 being the ocean.
 I missed
being a stamp to carry letters.
 I missed
 being a guitar.
 I missed
 being the single cherry blossom
 I missed
 being your last goodnight.
