Blank Page

I stare at the blank page,
Like a little boy looking for shapes in the clouds.
Thoughts travel through my mind,
As if bees are swarming a hive.
Yet, my paper is empty,
Like a public swimming pool on a stormy day.
Ideas begin to flow from my pen—
- to the paper, like rain drops racing down a window.
I write a single sentence, and look at it for hours.
Life is passing by,
But I’m just staring at a blank page.
