When the world frosts over,
find me
entwined in
the branches of a pine tree
I am
drawing in smoky breath
needles
dusting along my neck
don’t
take me back to the home I left
For, I am
here,
a vine on a tree
that doesn’t really mind me
I could be there
folding “why nots”
into a little squares
to tuck away into your dresser
drawers
No -
I do not wish to be there anymore.
